Big Ideas Learning is represented by National Geographic Learning and includes National Geographic Explorers in their educational materials. Both Big Ideas Learning and National Geographic Learning use connections to the real world in their product to highlight the relevance of learning. I designed brochures to visually represent the connections learning has to real world experience and its impact on students.

Big Ideas Learning AGA brochure
The primary objective for the cover of Big Ideas Learning’s AGA brochure was to communicate the connection of mathematics (abstraction) to the real world. I developed the concept and designed the cover. I used an image of rice paddies with an overlay to illustrate the literal translation of the real world to a mathematical formula (included adjacent to the program authors). National Geographic Explorers contribute research to the content and are featured throughout the program. 
National Geographic Learning ELT
Brand brochure designed to communicate how National Geographic Learning ELT (English Language Teaching) inspires, illuminates, and develops learners of English. I incorporated iconic National Geographic imagery to unfold the story of connecting learning with National Geographic explorers, scientists, writers, and photographers. Exclusive partnerships with National Geographic and TED give this organization unique opportunities to inspire, expand global awareness, and help students become leaders, while learning English.
National Geographic US History covers
Cover designs for U.S. History brochures. I incorporate cover-to-cover heroic imagery reflective of the National Geographic brand while representing content within the brochure. The image is the primary visual connection to the content. Applying simple typography to complement the image informs without overwhelming the image’s visual dynamic and connection to the real world.
